Thanks for the translation!

Really nice character building chapter here. I like how we're starting to see Asama and Inubousaki become legitimate friends. Also, is this "god" the first benevolent spirit we've seen so far? I suppose there was that one woman in chapter 4, but she was originally a human.

If the doll-maker (I forget her name) can be taken at face value, maybe Asama turned Inubousaki as some kind of mercy kill?

Did the enshrined god running away after seeing Inubousaki came surrounded with black miasma?
Does this mean she was already cursed by something of higher level that Asama can't detect?
Also, in the previous arc with Asama's cousin, he didn't mention anything about this particular miasma thing, perhaps she got cursed sometime in the beginning of this arc when she showed her notebook and some of the destination inside already crossed-out.

I kinda doubt it's a coincidence that the young Inubousaki in the flashback was holding a fancy doll and her nephew in the present is turning on the rizz to get info out of a fancy dollmaker.

Loving how the nephew is annoyed by how people keep comparing him unfavorably to his aunt and is trying to take action to be a better investigator, even if his methods are kinda... suspect. If he stays on this path of self-improvement maybe I'll even start remembering his name and stop thinking of him as just Inubousaki's nephew.

Had the impression it just see Asama had another appointment and will finish his business soon before leaving, so it just leave them.

Does Inobusaki have some kind of affinity with the spirits too? But without a direct lineage and some understandings like the Asama's and Hino's. That might explain the similarity of her bad memory of her sister after getting yelled by Asama.

Benevolent? Or just territorial?
yup, it's territorial action from the gods

From raw, Asama will meet the dollmaker later on

Poor Asama. Poor, poor guy. He's been shouldering so much guilt, and we know there's so much more to come.
