I really didn't like this chapter. (I don't mean the translation, the translation is as good as always.)
Having ninjas and ninjutsu be fake is kinda lame, it'd be more interesting if they were actually real. Also the way they're removing the guilt of killing the pursuers by saying that they were fated to die any way and also having reincarnation be a thing so all the murders kinda don't matter either. I liked that Konoha and Satoko were just unapologetically murderers.
As well, why are Konoha and Satoko so chill with the village chief. She has sent countless ninja after them, broke Satoko's self confidence and prevented her from remembering anyone's face until she fled, and is going to stop them from reincarnating.
Finally, that foreshadowing is a bit too obvious is it not? I wont elaborate in case someone didn't notice but it is so blatant.
Wdym? This kinda makes it worse. Our girls basically sent them to purgatory forever, never to return to earth. Also, that does not take away the fact they still killed many people, this doesn't change much. But I do agree that they are way too chill with the chief, but it's not like they can stop her, she can reincarnate forever and as many times as they want

Crazy VR kid

Wouldn't they all be inevitably fated for death though?
Well suppose she means the specific death?
Sounds about right

OH GLOB
Some pretty fancy lore drop

Wait but like if your sending everyone fated with death to a specific death
Would that be everyone in the village as everyone alive is fated to one day die??

Also I wonder if that means cause if it was just cause of their powers then that means innocents would be involved as well as just having powers is no surefire way of knowing if they'd abuse it for evil, and the pursuers we've seen dead don't particularly seem like the type
Why not just wait till they die out naturally instead of forcing them to speed it up?

Yeah that's all I got
Have a nice day :)

So all the dead ninjas are stuck in purgatory instead of being reincarnated because of the chief?
The shadow of "bringing the dead back to life is 100% possible in this universe" has been hovering over this manga for a long time. They aren't stuck.

So let's go through this bit by bit.
I really didn't like this chapter. (I don't mean the translation, the translation is as good as always.)
Having ninjas and ninjutsu be fake is kinda lame, it'd be more interesting if they were actually real.
This is really your perspective. Ninjas exist because of their powers. They don't just stop being a thing because of some arbitrary origin story.
Also the way they're removing the guilt of killing the pursuers by saying that they were fated to die any way and also having reincarnation be a thing so all the murders kinda don't matter either.
Ah yes, the guilt of killing the people trying to kill you. Definitely needed removing.
I liked that Konoha and Satoko were just unapologetically murderers.
They're a little more complex than that.
As well, why are Konoha and Satoko so chill with the village chief. She has sent countless ninja after them, broke Satoko's self confidence and prevented her from remembering anyone's face until she fled,
This is true, but their non-reaction fits well within the established tone of the manga. She also did all of this to suppress Satoko's abilities.
and is going to stop them from reincarnating.
Because she's been raising and training reincarnated ninjas for 500 years, and only recently became strong enough to stop them from being reborn.
Finally, that foreshadowing is a bit too obvious is it not? I wont elaborate in case someone didn't notice but it is so blatant.
Please elaborate, you are seeing something that nobody else in this forum thread is seeing.
