LOL, I didn't know what to make of the supernatural elements last chapter, but them getting used to it is hilarious.
Also, why don't more manga have non-combat magic? Since Frieren, I can't get enough of simple magic "hacks" like the spell to clean your clothes. That and the colour-changing jiutsu would be perfect for a lot of housework.

Now I'm wondering if there was some fuckery going on at the village.
Satoko was the only one who routinely escaped but then went back and was forgiven just like that, She seemed to be the only one who can use the 'turn things to leaves jutsu' (both found out thanks to sensei's little sis [RIP]).
She lived there her whole life until last year but doesn't remember what anyone looked and we learn here that they all looked uniquely different as well as so far we have seen all of them show a fair bit of skin, and yet she saw all of them as looking the same but she also saw them all look completely different to what any one (probably) looked like at the village.
I suspect they had someone there messing with her perception but for what purpose and to what end I don't know.
