Still, Kouki was lucky he's in a happy, stable relationship. Truck-kun typically doesn't target such inviduals, so it was just some random car. Much less lethal.

Patients in my country with complicated bone and surrounded tissue injuries after getting operation, where i.e. they have inserted multiple screws and plates are discharged from orthopedic post-op after 48h max xD Heck, even after knee/hip replacement, they won't be in hospital for longer than a week, and it's just because of post-op related problems, such as possibility of infection due to large incision or drainage of blood and other fluids, and not because of bone problem itself.
Being for a whole MONTH in hospital with just broken bone? Author's imagination really went too far there.

According to a study from 2010, the median length of stay after a hip surgery is 34 days in Japan, and only 5 days in the USA. The author may be on the higher end for a broken leg, but it's not impossible, in Japan.

Not in the US, unless there are severe complications. Here he was hit by a car so they'd probably keep him a day or two for observation before sending him home. If it was a simple fracture he'd probably be send home in the evening with a pair of $50 crutches that they'd bill the insurance company $1000 for.

What hip surgery? You think he would be sitting on the bed like that if he had got a fractured hip, huh? With how lively he is, he has absolutely nothing going on but something toward his foot. He did say leg, the cast is where it is, so it ought to be either fibula or tibia. Although that being said, it could be foot bones and he just wasn't so precise with his words.

Sorry, but I won't take your word for Japan keeping people utterly unnecessarily lying in hospitals. Who would even want to be there if they have got a decent home waiting for them? With Juri around, Kouki doesn't even need Japan's famous night shift nurses, haha.
