Damn, it's already over?? Didn't even feel like a whole story. Hopefully their next project won't get axed early too.

Series started very strong. Eventually I skipped the latter part and it still feels like a chore to go back and read it. After skimming through this chapter doesn't seem it'd be worth it

Maybe the premise was just too limiting. It’s like Psycho Pass, there are only so many ways someone can sidestep the system.

Well, this made no sense from start to finish. Some cool things but it feels like this got axed before it could get to any strides.
Yes. In fact, No\Name's biggest problem is the premise of the powers. When the series started, My Hero Academia was ending, which also had the issue of powers not so well resolved (it was always played in the hands of a "shiny baby"). And well, the story grew quite a bit in the end, to this day we don't know the origin of the power or who Midoriya's father was (at least All Might became the daddy).

I liked No\Name because the story was well constructed in this arc. For me, it didn't matter where the names came from (it's always hard to find an origin for something paranormal). However, Ralf Jr. is a cool character (the "Midoriya" this time), Ursula is sensational, the attempt to build a story based on powers with names sounded interesting.

But perhaps the political factor in the story ended up breaking it a bit, because it fell into a cliché (the two main villains were a corrupt politician with the power to change minds and the military leader of the Nordic Names Agency with ambitions to the point of killing children) that could have been better explored instead of trying to expand the story too quickly. At least the corrupt politician and the ambitious military man got the end they deserve, something that in real life could be applied to some politicians and militiamen in power (or out of it), let's say.

And as far as I know, Rafal Jaki is good at writing political stories (Cyberpunk Edgerunners is a political story, and whoever thinks it's wrong is blind). He just got a little lost in these arcs, but I believe that in another arc he could have fixed the political universe and managed to make a more down-to-earth story.

The cool thing was also Ursula's struggles and actions, who in my opinion deserves a story just for her too.

Good rest to the author and artist duo and let's wait for the next works.
