THANK YOU, gosh, glad to see someone else notice this. All these comments whining about the chicks and here I am just seething at how useless rihito is. The guy is twice as insufferable as Noa or Reni, from my perspective. Every single one of their insecurities or anxieties would be fucking trivial to assuage and put to rest with the simplest of assurances (just look at how Mika can effortlessly manage Reni or Noas feelings) or explanations of his own feelings, but instead Rihito just sits there like an autistic rock and lets this shit happen after offering 1 or 2 half-formed thoughts on a situation. The dude is beyond "passive", he just has ZERO agency and seems not to give a fuck about anything besides putting in as little effort as possible, in relationships or otherwise. Doesn't visit family, doesn't maintain friendships, doesn't reciprocate affection and barely seems to understand why you would need to, doesn't commit anything more than the bare minimum of thought about others feelings or even his own, and is constantly somehow confused about the feelings of a woman who has all the emotional subtlety of a flashing neon sign spelling it out for him. Hoesntly, his character is the weakest part of this series, from my perspective.
I get where you are coming from. But I really like the unstoppable force (noa) vs the immovable object (rihito) situation. Watching them both try and work on their relationship when both of them suck at communication for the complete opposite reason is my main enjoyment out of this series.

I do get tired of watching the exact same reaction in the comments that is just noa hate. I feel like if people don't enjoy this dynamic at this point they should probably stop reading because I doubt it's getting any better. It is clear to me that they are both working on themselves to further express in healthier ways how they feel about one another even if it is taking a really long time.

Personally I did not like Rihito this chapter. While Noa and Reni are fighting about him and manhandling him, the man in question just doesn't react.
Reni is clearly trying to hurt Noa and instead of saying "Reni, shut up!" and leaving with Noa he's like "no... stop it...Reni..." And then goes on stand by.
Be more proactive when it matters, man.

to me reni feels like a child, if you become an uncle/dad/teacher you may get a brat as your kid, the kind that are unreasonable and demand everything, damn you might've been that kid once, and from then its like... did the adults in your life found you cute? but like mika some must have definitely found you entertaining
Oh I don't need to imagine, I am not averse to berating my nephews and their parents.

But her bitchass is literally 19 years old, man. She can take a slap to her yap hole once or twice atp, she's way past the soft parenting age where basic courtesy towards literal stranger is taught in a kind manner.

Noa is very clearly supposed to be a borderline personality disorder stereotype, so it fucking infuriates me that the mangaka draws the line at having her realize her own romantic feelings.

I just want this manga to fucking  DO something already, man. I understand the premise relies on the contrast between the hyperemotional Noa and the stick of chalk Rihito, but the gag is the same shit every time.

I was in love with this one, and now it's just gotten stale. I feel like I've been reading the same chapter for like 3 volumes.
