I get that its a another culture so they see from a different perspective, but I really hate how often the sentiment that having good intentions is an excuse for treating others like shit comes up in Japanese media.
I dont think is a japan thing at all, some jobs will have a boss with similar attitudes to work, its a kind of person thing, straight up the same as is presented in this chapter with rihito's current work feeling harsher than the previous one, there are some interviews about developers feeling more pressure from superiors because their current project would have some crazy demands in Xbox for example

It's amazing how many people get fixated on solving a problem themselves rather than just asking someone who can do it in 5 minutes. They will troll through bad and half complete documentation and poke around in the UI of tools they have never seen before trying to figure it out because they take pride in solving problems and feel like asking for help is admitting defeat.
I think at least on the internet finding a solution yourself will be faster than just asking a close someone that actually knows what they are doing, whenever i ask around in forums i get complicated explanations and terminology i wouldnt understand as a beginner, in a sort of weird broken telephone type of game, not to mention the weird sense of wasting the other person's time with your problem, compared to slowly grinding a project that follows a written guide by yourself, realizing small mistakes you made and making sense of your errors, it ends up feeling more complete, but instead is a way slower way of solving the issue, its probably a person to person thing so some people are more comfortable asking while others would just rather not bother anyone and just try to fix it themselves

You know... Ocationally you notice a pattern of noa asking for stuff from rihito, and rihito eventually complying, its been from "we are friends" to "best friends" to "special friends" but as of late noa's demands have been "you like other woman/men better than me dont you" so i wonder if rihito complying would be to say something like "i like you" to noa, itd be cute

I won't say you're wrong, but in this instance we are talking about a job where you are working with colleagues on a project and if you don't get your work done on time you slow everybody down.

They really should have given him a training manual and taught him how to use the tools for his job.

Unfortunately jobs like this expect their employess to work overtime and to spend their time off learning about the job and his new boss seems to really believe in that as well.

When you are part of a team the most important thing is to get the job done on time. Knowing when and being able to ask colleagues for help is an important skill to have when you are working on a collaborative project.

It is important to try and solve it yourself first, but you also need to know when you've spent too much time on it.

And when you learn enough the newer employees will cone to you for advice.

It's not about solving the problem. It's about not being scolded for not knowing how to solve the problem

Nao had a point for the actual advice itself.

If it's faster to ask, then why not. Keeping it by yourself and waste time to try solving it is not really wise most of the time. Moreover with Rihito personality, which is more serious and reliable, it's not like he will spam stupid questions.
I'll tell you why you don't go straight to asking from personal experience:

"Why didn't you look it up in another project!!! That's what I would have done !"
It was my second day, man :'( could have done without the screaming.

Looks like Yandere Mode Noa is actually pretty scary here  and Noa is still Noa, she looked cool in the middle of the chapter, then went right back to her usual self, haha.

What a genuinely terrible boss/person Kizaki is. First time being a team lead isn't an excuse for having zero empathy/awareness for your young kouhai that is clearly struggling after being thrust onto something completely new. Absolute last person that should be involved in management.
