Uh no. Sure I might permit you to solve a blocker for 3 hours or even a full working day. But if its truly a blocker, a near deadline or not, you need to ask for help to unblock your deliverables.
Just banging your head to "push yourself harder" is stupid and plain inefficient.

It's amazing how many people get fixated on solving a problem themselves rather than just asking someone who can do it in 5 minutes. They will troll through bad and half complete documentation and poke around in the UI of tools they have never seen before trying to figure it out because they take pride in solving problems and feel like asking for help is admitting defeat.

If it's faster to ask, then why not. Keeping it by yourself and waste time to try solving it is not really wise most of the time. Moreover with Rihito personality, which is more serious and reliable, it's not like he will spam stupid questions.

If it's Kizaki's first time managing and leading a team, it kind of makes sense that she's rather oblivious to Rihito's issues and the work atmosphere of her team might be similarly because of her ideology and strictness. Wouldn't be surprised if Rihito's not the only one hunkered down into their work afraid to ask for help on anything. That's gotta be stressful and likely going to because complications and problems the longer the project goes on from hitting conflicts and missing deadlines due to blocks and everything...

Ironically, learning where to cut corners and time while maintaining quality where it's most important was an early thing learned where I went for in higher art education. But I also had a couple of great professors who were very helpful and made it easier to ask them for advice on struggle points I had.

Especially in creative or dire work environments, it's important to have your employees know that critical assignments should encourage assessment from supervisors and such whenever and wherever it's needed, especially for newly joined members.
That kind of risk assessment's critical for a supervisor or manager to keep their team from failing or shortcomings, and Kizaki feels like she's completely unaware of the kind of issues she's causing by being so intimidating and hostile that her own team would rather delay and struggle with work over seeking advice to better quality and speed up workflow...

Man this chapter got to me, the whole new arc's been great so far. Kizaki's an interesting problem, Rihito's actually facing conflicts and Noa's relatively learned to simmer down lol...
