Regarding the person with short bob who calls Rihito "oniichan". It's not uncommon for moms to call their elder children "oniichan", "oneechan". A friend of mine calls her elder daugher "oneechan". I was confused at first but judging by her maturity she's most probably his mom.

I'm assuming it might happen in other languages as well. I can say for sure that it is not uncommon (although not super common) for parents in Brazil to call one of their children "mano" (bro) "maninho" (little bro) and so on. (Portuguese)
My family is Chinese American and my mom pretty much always call me "big brother" and my brother "little brother" in our dialect. Feel like its pretty common for very family oriented cultures.

"This guy is an absolute saint, how the fuck does he have the patience to deal with the walking Armada of Red flags and annoyance that is Noa"

Meets the sister

"You know what, this all makes perfect sense, dudes had 17 years of practice and is playing New Game+ on easy difficulty"

Reni probably right that Noa is full of redflag, but everything she said is just plain rude and too judgmental. She needs to be locked in the closet.

I am confused, why his mother is calling him onni-chan?
I'm not sure about Korea but it's not uncommon in Japanese and Chinese households for mothers to calling their children "big brother", "little brother", "big sister", "little sister", etc.

My mom very rarely calls me by my actual name outside of occasionally when it's just the two of us. She usually just calls us "big brother", "little brother", and "little sister", esp when more than one of us are around.

Can confirm. I lived in South East Asia country and my mother usually called me "older brother" in our native language.

Usually, the moment she calls my name, that means I'm in a deep shit. 😅

The phrase, "Don't throw stones in glass houses," comes to mind.

"Is she really just a friend?!"
It's a fair question.

Be careful about listening to relationship advice by single people. There's usually a reason they're single, and a lot of them want to keep others single.

THE TSUN LEVELS…THEY’RE OVER 9000.
Also, oh yeah the calling the eldest onii-chan makes sense. It’s like how in Bisaya the older/eldest sibling is called Kuya or Ate by the entire immediate family. (Note: I don’t speak Bisaya, but I do know a few words because of my family. Yes ik I’m fake pinoy :meguuusad: )
