Ya know, I don’t necessarily mind split chapters, I know it’s the publisher doing it. But couldn’t they find a more natural place to split rather than in the middle of a combat sequence?

As much fun as Option 2 would be, especially trying to explain herself at that point, I feel like that's speedrunning too much of the plot so it's probably going to be Option 1.

Maybe we get extra fun times and she pulls the Holy Sword out of whatever hammerspace it got lost in, and now we have the multilayered drama of (a) trying to explain why she has it, (b) being a demon with the Holy Sword, (c) while also fighting the vampire who has the Demon Sword, (d) despite technically being on the same side.

Not the best option, but technically this can be as well (I assum the sword will vanish / transfered to the capital / stolen from another and/or reappier if the new Demon King is crowned)

Like the publishers would care. More parts = more traffic, that's all that matters to them.

while this is true of many part chapters, its not like some regular chapters don't do the same and just do the cliffhanger ending
