Once again i demand Mangadex makes a new tag: advertisement. I have enough with investing time on a manga thinking it would be a good read just to have my hope twisted and stabbed in the back!

I'll admit I'm not satisfied with this ending at all, if they had extended this even a little further I would have been happy. Something along the lines of 'So I became the Demon King that declared peace' or some other suitably stereotypical line would have been fine. Ending it here just feels like a halfhearted leadup to sequel, or a revelation that this is actually a prequal to something else. I could have actually seen this as a cool spinoff to a series with an interesting Demon King character but since that series doesn't exist this just feels half hearted.

Are the last two chapters of this manga really what happened in the WN too, or did the journey actually continue with the two of them? (Edit: What chapter in the WN would this be around?)

Honestly, I kinda hope the former hero continuing their journey alone is part of the WN/LN. The prince had just enough time in the story to not leave me annoyed with his whimsy.

😥 What a shame that it's ending after we finally had the reveal happen.

I'll miss this series, I really loved the premise and the character interactions between the two of them.

If the Novel ever gets translated, I'll definitely give it a read.
