@aFFi agreed,a good guild master would know that Lento had more value as a Ln advisor to the guild then a mere adventurer. And with the rates of newbie deaths declining it would have made sense for them to offer him a job, more experienced adventurers, buy better gear, more money flowing through.

@aFFi Agreed. For example, it isn't too hard to hand down your old equipment, if it is better then his. And the way you pointed it out, Lorraine (Magic Researcher Waifu) is indeed best girl.

@kronix, @gaigous, criver: heheheee. I like this idea. I know it's too much to handle, at least for me, but I keep chuckling. So let's take it serious for a moment. Taking your favourite tropes and mess with them a bit and then taking a bunch of other tropes and totally subvert them, sounds like a fun read. But criver has a point. Coming up with the overall stroy arc isn't that hard, but also coming up with enough sub arcs and plots and, even worse, filling it content (dialogues, battle choreography, etc), must be hell. At least it doesn't have to be a manga. A WN is sufficient. And if it's good, somebody will draw it. Hah, the moment has passed.

@Qelix I can't write up a story for shit, believe me, i've tried, but I think most of us could easily give some "mindblowing" guidance(ideas), it's the author who has to figure out how they would be implemented.

@gaigous: Same here. I came up with a pretty decent idea for a scifi story. It had an interesting twist, but I gave up really quickly, because EVERY paragraph I wrote, was absolute garbage! Beyond redemption, by being rewritten. Bad enough for me to conclude, I have no talent at all.

Just picked this up.
Interesting story. While OP, there are many restrictions on what he can do since he isn't human. The added instincts and mental stability problems makes this even more interesting. While his original goal is now easier to realize, there is a chance he may become a subjugation target and may eventually even attempt to destroy the world.

In other worlds, he is training himself to be the savior of the world and the destroyer of it at the same time.

In the light novel Lento actually purposely used his first name, because changing first name might be difficult to get used to and that the name "Lento" is actually a common name there, he said it was a name of an ancient saint or some sort.
