I still wonder how this series would have looked if the author kept the original premise of them being plants. I think making them cats definitely made the series more marketable, but it also makes it a bit more generic.

Either way, it's a great series. The start is a little slow but once the cast expands it makes the world feel very fleshed out and there aren't any characters I explicitly dislike.

I feel like Kei needs more screentime, though. He's one of the original three and it doesn't feel like he has had any development. He doesn't have any plot threads, and mostly only exists for jokes about him being feminine or being the tsukkomi to other characters.

Getting around to rereading this and catching up to the updates after about a decade. Man. I didn't notice before (since I was living the time) but this manga is EXTREMELY early 2010s in the beginning. Like I mean yeah of course it is, it was written then. But the jokes are somehow nostalgic (and a little Mmm That Is An Early 2010s Punchline) and I can see how it would have been written differently if this were made today

Sorry for taking so long to upload the chapters.

I had originally planned to finish chapter 25 and translate the cover pages of all of the volumes (all of the covers have a 2 page manga with stories about human form Kei, Sasame etc. and nuko form Yuuya, inuko form Kishimoto etc) + add the missing end pages (at the end of some of the chapters, there's an extra 4 koma page or a page with drawing), before uploading all the chapters.
Unfortunately, my hard drive died so I lost all my work and my motivation to continue.

Today I finally stopped procrastinating, redownloaded the chapters from my mediafire folder and took a few hours to re-number the chapters so they follow the tankouban numbering (Yes, there are lots of missing chapters).

All of the chapters that Kaito Zero did has been uploaded. If a chapter is missing, it was never scanlated by us.

On another note, Nukoduke! got nominated for Anime Japan's "Manga We Want to See Animated!" for 2021 (https://www.anime-japan.jp/main/ajranking/). Unfortunately, the voting ended an hour ago.
