Is octopus supposed to be very chewy no matter how you cook it, or it's just i had no luck with it? The taste is good (and takoyaki are to die for), but i always felt like i'm chewing on a piece of rubber.

@HYBRID_BEING It's always got a slightly chewy texture, but it's not meant to taste like rubber.
Kinda just a satisfying squish to it before it breaks.
