Everytime you see a weird name, chances are its because name translation is #$*^*%*#&%#$

@eryu793
makes more sense to me tbh, I'm not really good with reading german names, I read it as "Deeto-fureeto" which closest thing was (even with mtl) deet-fleet
I'll make the fix. (fixed it and credited you ;) )
thank f for mdex editing ability, couldn't live with my mistakes living on aggregators.

@Nep
It's just his name that's mistranslated, fairly certain that the rest of the chapter should be fine.

@koltek Sorry for the misunderstanding. I wasn't referring to the translation quality but the job of translating names itself is ridiculously hard, annoying, and straight up torture.

Ditofurito/Dietfried is one example. This, to be fair, is probably one of the easier ones since its really out of place in the Japanese language, immediately outing itself as a name. All thats left is recognizing an actual name for it.

Some, like Release That Witch's Iron Axe is more difficult simply because the people around him have names like Roland and Anna. Standard western names. Then we have someone named Iron Axe, which for all we know could have been actual iron axe instead of a person (especially if we are translating novels instead of manga). We can also name him Tie Fu (iron axe). But that would make his name weirdly Chinese in a western background.

Then we have the runes themselves. Rune languages generally have meanings per character/word. So it is possible for a name to end up sounding like a meaningful phrase when it is not.

Think that was all? We also have DUMB VIDEOGAME HANDLES! Imagine trying to translate a string of CN/JP characters which ultimately results in Qwerty123
