But I don't get the hate against Shion that some people have though, cause she barely even spoke so far, so surely there's something we don't know about the breakup from her perspective (especially after seeing the ending here).

@WhereTheYuriAt

The fact she didn't say anything is the reason for people disliking her. It's not about what she did, or why she did it. It's about how she did it.

It's like breaking up with your s/o after years of being together, with no explanation, and then getting together with someone else the next day and acting like you are still good friends. She may be internally tormented all she wants, but MC doesn't know what she thinks or why she did that - because, well, she never said anything. And since she knows Kiki for so long, she should know that Kiki will probably blame herself and be very hurt and confused. If she didn't meet the new girl, which Shion had no chance of knowing anything about, she could have started skipping club or even quit dancing due to her levels of angst.

Come on Shion, don't get all mopey. You pulled the trigger on this, so you should be the one prepared to handle the mess afterward.

Anywho... time to go back into cryosleep for a couple months until the next chapter comes out.

Well,I think Shion knows all along that she and Kiki aint that compatible and she wanted Kiki to change role since she knew Kiki wanted to be the follower instead of being the lead.. It goes down to "i did this for your own sake" drama..
Her mistake, she never made herself clear to Kiki, she just went out and dump Kiki like that so there, she'll gonna suffer the consequences no matter what.. And nope, i dont dislike Shion's character at all..

Thank you so much for the update..

First of all, thank you for the translation. I appreciate anyone putting in the effort to translate manga/manwa/manhua/etc.

Secondly, looks decent enough the art is really good if somewhat minimalist in parts. Personally I don't find the story unique enough and I'm not particularly fond of this kind of drama but I'll check a few more chapters before deciding wether or not to continue reading.

And Lastly, the reason for this comment(rant). I can't believe people actually complained about her height. I could understand it if it was just a written novel how that might sound when you read it... BUT this is VISUAL media ffs there are several pages showing her being at least a head taller than her peers, you shouldn't need a page of exposition explaining how she is unussually tall and the avarage is 1.56m, or (like in this chapter) a translation page explaining it. If you commented on it you need to read more, either manga, novels or whatever (classic or otherwise) bc that show how little you understand of any media telling stories.

PS: I'm 1.71m in a family of either giants or gremlins (aunt 1.56m and cousin 1.95m), and I didn't pause for a second when I read her height.

I cant really tell for sure whats on Shion mind... but she dislike how Haruma think of herself reason why she broke their partnership all the while she cant accept being separated. She wanted Kiki to be true self, therefore being the follower while she herself can only be a follower so she couldnt stay with her. Now we got Shion jealous of Haruma and possibly Mona jealous/worried about Shion, it seems.
At least is what i saw so far. But im not sure if theres more to it. Just hope it wont get too complicated.
Clearly Haruma is filled with traumas and forced ideals. Shes a girly princess at heart but hates to be like that because of how she has always been seen/treated for her height also she has some inferiority complex comparing herself to her perfect Onee-sama. Feel sorry for her.

it's a pity that Shion decided to do it in a harsh way for herself, running away isn't always helping. But oh well, when you close a door, another will be there for you to discover

Hmm... I feel the drama building up.. while not necessarily bad, I hope it won't devolve into a heavily angst-ridden yuri as some others had (I don't think this is likely--it's just that things seem to have the potential to get really complicated. The series just started, so it's hard to say which way it'll go).

Of course Shion has a reason for doing what she did, still the way she went about doing it bad.

They're friends and she should've communicated that to Kiki. Imagine, your childhood bff suddenly wants to quit being your dance partner, then the next day you see her with her new dance partner lol. Was there even an apology? The fact that she seems unapologetic and cold makes the matter so much worse.

Even if she did this for Kiki's benefit, it just seems iredeemable to me right now. I feel zero sympathy with her.

I thought what shion did was really mature. She knew kiki wasn't being herself in that position even though she loves her. So she let go with dignity, without forcing her pov on anyone. I respect that.
