its just the gag is getting old quickly. misunderstanding gags are only funny for like 10 chapters at best. is this all ako's character is going to be. just a gag to make Tsumiki jealous? they already accomplished that now what just more gags of ako misunderstanding yutaka and running away. currently the narrative is too focused on Ako and yutaka trying to apologize and ako running away and not listening to yutaka.
in my opinion ako is very quickly becoming stale and forced. which is odd because usually the writer is good with characters and resolving things in a timely manner. i am still waiting to give my final judgement of whether or not to drop this. it all depends on if the writer continues to string on this gags undead corpse or put it down. it can be put down calmly and humanely or violent and painfully. i just want it to be resolved already.
You have to actually let her have a character arc first. She's only been around for like 15% of the manga's run.

and yet senga has had more progress on his character in less time than ako. when i have been shown how quick and effecient side characters arcs can be written in the same manga i won't be able to excuse a side character arc that goes too long. i like this manga because it doesn't drag things out longer than necessary. we don't need 20, 30, 40, or 50 chapters for a side character when previous characters didn't even need 10.

My brother in christ, she has only existed for 6 chapters, not even 10. Stories are art, not a science where the author is chugging to hit their character arc quotas.

i was being hyperbolic what i mean is the longer this arc goes on the more i will dislike it because i don't want the cliche drawn out misunderstanding or love rival arcs. its already twice as long as the standard character arc and every subsequent chapter my mind keeps going "get on with it already."

we already know the outcome of all this. ako will find out either from yutaka or someone else that yutaka isn't her soulmate and the reason he isn't affected is because he loves Tsumiki. now you could offset this by being creative on HOW you get to that point give the audience something to speculate and wonder about but there is nothing to speculate about.

its just tredding the same ground as all the others. run away before the other person can tell you the truth, person takes it the wrong way, rinse repeat. i DO NOT want this manga to go down the same cliched route all the others do and this arc to me seems like its taking the first step to doing just that
