Yeah, that was uncomfortable. But I guess that was what the author was going for? For the MC it's something new, for these nonhumans it was Tuesday?

I hope the MC asks them about it, talk it out. He seems good at processing stuff, just a little slow sometimes and in denial.

How to sink a story in three chapters. You can't hint at the fact that they are getting closer and then drop fricken NTR scenes like this into a fluffy story with hints of romance. The vampire shows up again and interacts with her like that and I'll just drop this.

Also, why the neck? If she was so "understanding" what's wrong with just doing an arm bite or something like the numerous other manga with vampire high schoolers in it.

I understood what the author tried to convey, but I still can't help to think it was unnecessary to do it like that lol. Plus, some stories portrait the act of sucking blood in a very sexual way, so even thought it seemed like the action per se didn't mean anything to both of them, it was still very weird...

At least Yukata had enough balls to stop them...
like bro maybe it she wasn't aware of it, but the vampire is clearly aware of the sexual implications otherwise he wouldn't be only gunning after girl's bloods

edit: nah actually, now that i read it again he does act very nonchalant with the first girl, maybe he just goes for girls bc they're always chasing him so it's just easier to call them. The ntr-face threw me off

Wow, honestly disappointed that it went this way.

With the way that it’s going I don’t expect Yutaka to end up with Yumiki, the way that the author portrays this makes me think the the social norms are too different between the two.

Obviously to us that blood sucking seems way too intimate especially since it’s around the neck area but to both the vampire and the wolf it’s just food. Even the way that he uses other girls they’re just food to him but to the girls they obviously think of it as something personal to them.
(Like to add that the vampire knows that he’s probably taking advantage of their feelings.)

I thought this was about understanding each others social norms but it seems so one sided.

Makes zero sense why she would go from driving the guy off and is obviously not liking him, to then offering her blood, and the bite on the neck in a panel obviously drawn with the sexual undertones vampire biting often has.

Like, was she trying to test the MC or give him a chance to “find his feelings” since that’s the current excuse for them hanging out or something?

Either way, tonal whiplash from the starting chapters, curious if they pretend it never happened next chapter or if they keep going down this route that is sure to drive off readers.

The way the vampire boy was drawn in the last panel suggests that he's going to be a problem in the future. He won't be happy and will probably try to separate them. And he will almost certainly be forgiven for his actions, after all, the current trend in manga is to say that no one is really evil.

Why is it that I didn't pick up anything NTR related? Her offering her neck was akin to "here, take this yakisoba bread if you hungry". There's no meaning behind it. The only one who prescribed any "romantic" meaning was our MC.

The vampire, from my perspective, is just a massive flirt. That's it. It would be like having Tamaki from Ouran High School Host club dressed up as a vampire, having these flirtatious superficial lines to effectively beg for a few dollars so he can afford a sandwich, and have the readers scream NTR and this somehow ruins the manga. Kinda wild you guys are turning a nothing burger into something it isn't.

If anything, this just reaffirms our MC's feelings toward our FMC aren't superficial and they are developing into something real.

JFC, it's been a long time since I've seen a collective IQ that is below room temperature. Golf Clap

Honestly, this chapter is terrific at making the reader realize that, 'Oh Shit, the Genjin are not humans.' subtly. The manga is slowly making us realize that Romance will never be an option between these two, or will be quite stretched out if it were. Genjins, as a species, are so fundamentally different from humans that coming to terms with loving them, as a partner, and while being a human, requires a very different mentality or a high mental barrier to cross. It seems that the MC is starting to realize it as well.
Isn’t she half-human because of her mother?

lmao this is just the 3rd chapter and the author already decided to be risky. Can't we just have a wholesome romance for once without the shitty ntr baits, now it makes me wonder if we gonna have to deal with this more often since the author wanted convey that Genjin's common sesne differs from that of humans " what might be seen as a big deal from a human perspective might not be that big of deal from a Genjin's perspective" so going by this logic we might see in the future some guys asking her for "favors" and how she will think it's not that big of deal

To this day just about the only thing I've been able to remember about Kyou no Go no Ni is the exaltation of collar bones.

Yeah, it's uncomfortable, but from a different perspective, it's just someone giving food.

Last chapter she got super embarassed just because the MC greeted her with the same neck-sniff she gave him, but now she's totally ok with the vampire getting more intimate than a simple sniff? Not only that, blushing hard while grabbing the back of his neck and calling for Yutaka's name? Bro it's definely meant to be a NTR bait for both us the audience and the MC, since we're both watching it through "human" eyes. But it has a purpose i guess, it's meant to make us feel jealous and want to jump in between them like the MC did

It's awkward as fuck but i guess it makes sense for the narrative, i think it mean to show how despite getting closer as friends they don't exactly understand each other that well yet, especially when it comes to their culture and feelings. Next chapter they talk it out, maybe?
