I think the Queen's response to the magic tool was too harsh. It's possible people rebelled for a reason.

Yea something tells me it was legit her mother and father who caused a rebellion and just like even out medival times...remove the bloodline from existence even though the kids did nothing wrong except be the child of those people.

She lacks any sense of empathy for the lives of others, she can be easily swayed to help the villains the first chance she gets if it suits her.

I mean, she's literally a fairy. Proper Fairies aren't that sanitized-for-the-children tinkerbell nonsense; by their very nature they're self-serving to the core lol. In pretty much any setting with Fae played straight, you better know what you're getting into before you have any dealings with them.
