It's in japanese, but I used a translated tool to read it, the quality isn't great, but the entire novel is 19 chapters

So you read the web novel! It's not unusual to have changes between the web novel and light novel (published version), so maybe it's an addition in the light novel instead?

Anyway, for the story: indeed, I kinda hate how it's clearly going toward reconciliation, but at least the story is funny. Hilarious, even. That makes it a bit better for me.

To be frank, it does. The original is cute, but a little light in detail, so the extra touches they are bringing to the manga is making it more fun (this is not the only place where its been lengthened, just the most dramatic example so far.) Frankly, I hope they do a lot more fleshing out.

Especially, giving some actual names and personalities to some of the classmates is a great idea. In the novel, they are just 'the classmates', as a general mob. Giving them more to do is also great.

There's a few more spots further on in the novel where I also hope they expand it. And it is a little open-ended as written, so I hope it gets extended. But whether they do or not, I'll continue enjoying it.

I'm not sure there is a light novel. The author's page on Syosetu doesn't mention it, but does mention the manga, so I think they went straight from WN to manga.

The princess literally orders him to go and spend time with her and he does not react (he followed orders)

MC tells him to his face that she really is ok with him doing whatever since she does not care anymore and he react a bit (goes to the princess to tell her)

Finally when the friends know just how much of a stupid man he was and tore him a new one he reacts?... no no no... this series is the story of a guy that has a platonic relationship with another woman, completely neglecting his fiancé... but do not worry everything will be fix with some shenanigans and apologies... he will have the platonic woman and his fiancé, having the cake and happily eating it as well

I love how he rejects the options of sending letters and giving gifts with "she wants to be by herself" as if those 2 options arent perfectly fine for loners. Also didnt give her any gifts at any of the past dates(if you can call them that) they had bevause hes an idiot.
Glad that the dysfuntional pair has atleast two people who know how to the bare fucking minimum by their side, otherwise these two would be completely helpless, no doubt. It also illustrates really well how its not impossible to keep up with your student council duties while having a fiance, keios just cared more about the princess than caroline.

Also, remember that event in the first chapter were its customary to go with your fiance? Why didnt he grasp that maybe his fiance would be lonely(and have to go there alone, something he later on forbids her from doing). Why didnt the princess object? Every time i get a new chapter im astounded just how dumb keios is and the princess is also sinking lower, slowly
