For one i´m happy that the story will continue... but at the same time i think that means they will end up together

This is the first story where i´m actually hoping for them to split... I soo want her to either end happy alone, or with someone that loves her and is not so emotionally stunted that they need several people to actually realize how shitty they where

Also i think that if they end up together it will undermine everything, this as an ending is good, because she realizes that she is not bound to the whims of someone that does no think about her... that she can do so much more.

BUT, if they end up together is like saying "nope... you where bound to this man-child and by the rules of old fashion stupid romance, you must accept him, because he (with way too much help) realized his mistake, his growth matters, yours is just a diversion, something that last until he is ready to take the main role"

I've seen the "fiance who acts like he doesnt care but secretly does" trope executed so poorly soo many times in the "Though I May Be a Villainess, I'll Show You I Can Obtain Happiness!" anthology series, and it's always some of the most poorly written shit you can find in this niche genre.

This, on the other hand, is ridiculously refreshing. I actually think it's a fascinating turn to have her find out she can live as an independent, self-sufficient woman elsewhere. I'm relieved that she's not folding to the bare-minimum demonstrations of affection.

Kinda hope Nicole stays on this path of single living tbqh!!! Keios is still only pursuing her for selfish reasons. It's demonstrative of how little he respects her that he'd have a big outburst focusing on other guys coveting her (because she is "his") versus seeing what an amazing opportunity this would be for his fiance. He's never taken interest in her life (or their relationship!) up to this point - why the fuck does he think he gets to have an opinion about her choices now?

Keios completely and utterly beefed it. She's already moved on! He's fucked!!!! The relationship is dead!!!! Let the poor girl go free.

The punchline is always the same to the point that even though I understand, i’m starting to get annoyed with the mc.

It feels like the author wrote this specifically to talk about feminism and how a woman doesn’t need a man to be successful and happy but in the most annoying way possible by focusing on the man and showing how much of a dumbass not only he is but his friends are. I can’t even blame it all on him because his surroundings seemed to be actively detrimental to him being a good and honest person.

I didn't know what to describe this feeling after reading this and you explained it perfectly. Everything is just annoying.

I feel for young Keios being anxious, as I did the same decades ago with my first gf, not that studying abroad helps the distance either. We still hang out since I'm friends with her brother, but she still treates me coldly.

Point is, regardless of sympathy, Keios should suffer the consequences of his own flaws and make no demands of Nicole.

I mean what has he even done, really? Has he even apologized or really tried to explain why he ignored her? I don't think his reason is adequate so if he were to explain I don't see a real woman forgiving him, but he hasn't even tried to correct her misunderstanding
