I can only describe this feeling as "distraught". Vague enough to cause deep concern, straightforward enough to make one question if there even is a reason for concern. Like finding divorce papers deep in your filing, but torn up. Like a love letter that could be read as a suicide note.

Okay, but which papa was she giving the ice-cream to? Seems a bit weird to be for a guy who just isn't there right now. But the Japanese do love giving food as 'tribute' to the dead...
Many nations, including the Japanese and Slavs, have a tradition of leaving part of the holiday food to deceased relatives as a sign of memory and respect. But I don't know the author's intentions.

Some demonic ritual to put the soul of her dead father into the baby?
I might read into it too much but are they trying to resurrect the dead father? don't tell me this manga will turn into something cultist.
Those last few pages instantly made me imagine "do they want to "revive" this papa by birthing it through the daughter?". This is getting a little too crazy if so.
The daughter got 50% of the dead man's DNA. By making a child you can get him back 25%. Why you need an older man like our MC for that idk. Crazy people plans don't need to make sense.
This is when I remember the title of the story:

"Welcome Back, Papa" :fml:

So they don't actually love the MC, they just saw him as a substitute for the I presumed "deceased papa" and trying to fullfill their biggest dream of having an incest baby. That's what I think it happening here, basically the MC is just a "breeder" who just coincidentally have a similar look to the old papa.

Also now the title make perfect sense, a truly "Welcome back, Papa" moment
