The MC is shocked because his sister said something nasty about him not having kids while he thinks she knew she was pregnant - basically lording it over him despite the fact he really wants a child. The daughter cares because they've manipulated a rift between the siblings by telling the sister that Hiroto wasn't as hurt by her comments as he was, so she would announce her pregnancy and upset him. The siblings never actually talked after their fight so nothing was really resolved between them directly. The sister's child is from the affair she had.

But that literally only proves the sisters point, it doesn't 'lord over him'

The portrayal is almost as if the brother was the dad even though we know it isn't the case. It's a very confusing chapter.

Holy shit, he's getting demolished. I hate it because this isn't even a pre-meditated keikaku because big bro would not have been bothered if not for Chika's childess+old man+L rant earlier. His own family is serving him up to these oyakodon yanderes with little effort from the yanderes. This is just her teabagging him again before he leaves as far as he sees it.


• His sister exploded like a day or two ago in-story with a rant about him being a huge loser cuck who would never know what having a child would be like or the worries that come with it because he married a single mother (with already teen daughter) who can't have another child due to her health. Her announcement about her pregnancy right now just feels like extra salt in the wound because he has no clue that the baby is an affair baby, his sis just sounds smug about having a second child with her husband.
• The daughter wants to  fuck, and her and her mom are trying to make him mentally breakdown from stress into having impregnation sex with his step daughter.
• It's a confirmed affair baby with her boss. Her announcement is to get some family support because she's been breaking down over her near future as an affair-divorced single mother of two, but she still hiding the fact that it's an affair baby.
• It's not edge, you're watching an eldest son slowly get crushed by his family's disapproval about his marriage, his family's general treatment of him in the past, his insecurity about not having kids at his age, his concern about his new wife's health, job woes iirc, and self-denial that his step-daughter has lust towards him.

Saying that def seemed cruel even if she wasn't pregnant again but i wonder if he picks up on like "She said all that, does that mean that she doesn't want her current pregnancy" and figures out that it was an 'accident' even tho he might not know about it being an affair unless the wife and Touko 'loudly' whispering just enough for him to 'overhear' /find out that it was because of an affair

I figured he’d think of it more as a type of brag, or a reminder of something that he might not ever have. Afahk, it’s just a normal marital pregnancy. She definitely didn’t mean it like that, and it’s an understatement that she had some shit on her mind, but to him….

I mean it’s still not impossible either with a surrogate or adoption but I know ppl get uptight about wanting “bio” kids

Altho idk how the mother daughter team is gonna “convince” him to have Touko bearing his child short of date raping him or some kinda IVF versus him being “seduced” fully or the mom maybe even committing into getting into some kinda “accident” where she’s hospital ridden and getting “comforted” by the stepdaughter

Feels like I'm missing a puzzle piece here since I haven't read in a minute, why is he upset about it?

He is jealous, he wants to have a child so much even when his wife can´t, then he sees his sister to have 1 baby and now 1 more in the way, all his friends have kids too, he is just so sad he can´t get his own child.

Wife and daughter seems to plan to use all of this as a psychological attack on MC so he finally accepts the daugther´s advances to get her pregnant instead of the wife, but all of this seems to be part of a greater plan, because there are easier ways to get her pregnant without all this psychological shit they are doing.

Okay, who else thinks the mothers sickness is intentionally overplayed so they can hit him with "daughter will do it instead it cannot be helped" twist.

Also part of him being upset about the pregnancy thing is that he showed up with a step-daughter which could be seen as him putting forward excuse or substitute for not having a kid of his own. Obviously not a good way to think about it but his mental seems very fragile regarding the subject. If they somehow knew about this before courting him I could see it being the reason he was their target.

See the medication so it might also be a bit of both (like “lies are easiest to tell when you mix a bit of truth in them”, and assuming toukou was born when she was a teen or just barely under 21 it might strain one having to be a parent that young even if having a kid in ur 40s also might complicate birth
