Okay to reduce other scanlation group's image size?

I found an un-uploaded chapter from a dead group (The rest of the series was done by another group) but the size of the pages are too big to upload (around 6000x8500, the archive is 300MB for 42 pages). Am I allowed to reduce the images in size before uploading? If so, what resolution should I lower them to?

@Hafo While we would generally state that tampering with a group's release isn't allowed, the group is dead and the size is excessive to a degree that most of our users wouldn't even be able to load the pages lol. If you reduce the resolution, just try to get it as close to 100 mb total as possible
