Cats can't be ordered because they don't need to be ordered. They are solitary hunters and do what they need to do alone. They haven't got the faculties for such social behavior.

Well, they can be ordered (aside from being taught what not to do), but it takes a good connection to their human. And they're still very moody about it. While they hunt alone, with obvious exceptions, they're far more social than people tend to give them credit for.

So, if Arisa doesn't suggest they could become a couple for real, Yuzuru probably won't ever say anything.

That's usually how these stories go, until something happens to push them forward.

Not a LN reader but I did skim the ending epilogue when I heard it ended:

Obviously they got married and have kids(2?) and their kid gets into the same sort of predicament as MC where he agrees to an arranged marriage for reasons but gave demands to stave it off(brown hair, good upbringing, tits) which result in him doing the interview with his neighbourhood childhood friend who he hasn't talked to in years and had a frosty relationship with ever since some incident as kids despite going to the same school. Iirc I think she sarcasticly said it's nice to meet him and lists his requirements for his bride candidate while looking at him like trash.

I'll be surprised if it doesn't get a short spinoff titled "I was trying to avoid an arranged marriage but now my bombshell childhood friend is aiming for my family fortune!?"

Seriously though I can't imagine what they might have filled the other 7 volumes with really. This might be a good spot to end the manga financially speaking.
