Sometimes I forget how wacky the novel of ORV is. It canonically has tentacle rape, mpreg, trans girl, gender bending and at some point Dokja become a fucking squid. I'm not ready for these on the webtoon 💀

@greyhud90 how was it an asspull? the skill was used on the subway carriage. if you're talking about broken faith and the white/pure star energy, they were hinted earlier too.

@DANDAN_THE_DANDAN
@storse
how he knew he needed that specific sword for that specific type of enemy that he now somehow has to face despite changing the story or how he keeps saying the enemy is impossible right now but suddenly he defeated something on the level of ichtyo with level 1 swordsmanship.
or how that bookmark keeps appearing passively when he needs it.

...ok I'll shut it now, I just remembered the target demographic and now I feel old

@greyhud90 The fact that he knows what he needs to buy is just a previously-established fact that he knows everything they will happen in the future. Also the reason he didn't want to fight the boss even if he has a safety net in the form of the sword can be blamed to it's risky (in which case yeah you're right) or it's a reason the story simply haven't revealed (in which case you're wrong).

@greyhud90 uh, he is a reader. He has read everything until before the epilog and his skill helps him to remember the details of the story. The sword and the details about the enemy are stated in the novel. He read it so he knew. Things are slightly changing, but the main event doesn't change much, because he hasn't interfere much. He can actively open the bookmark, it's his skill. His passive skill is fourth wall.

@Moth we don't know what the story is so all he will ever do from now will be ass pulls though.
He read the story of the MC of the novel, so he won't know everything UNLESS that novel is like pack fudged with Point of view stories making the novel a huge ass book detailing every thing that happens WITHOUT THE MC.
IMO his power isn't because he is a "reader" but because of those luxurious status screen like skills and mysterious "fourth wall skills" that looks like crutches.... NAY!, Automated wheel chair.
A reader would use his knowledge of the novel world to his advantage... unfortunately we have this isekai like system instead.
This story is still enjoyable though NGL.

@necromach I've read too many amateur copycat novels and isekais so I don't think anything will surprise me.
I've never read the novel for this though.

i think this is because Dokja has read all 1800+ regressions on Yoo Jonghuk. In all these countless and repetitive regressions, Dokja would’ve gotten information on what items to get or how to defeat certain enemies from Yoo Jonghuk’s experience and finds after countless regressions. It’s not clarified, but it’s hinted that each time Yoo Jonghuk died in Ways of Survival, the novel will go back to the first scenario and describe changes he made each time he regressed. The novel should be extremely detailed, which explains why Dokja knows almost every item and enemy attack patterns, that’s why the novel had over 3000+ chapters and it took Dokja 10(?) years to read all of it.
