Counterpoint: I don't think the kingdom really will suffer all that much if he dies. He doesn't grow food or build houses, he bosses people around and he doesn't even do it directly. They can all still do their jobs and keep the country running without him.

I'm not that confident that Lord Philomena was the big bad, and there are still some known enemies left. The nun and the other church guy is out there, as well as the council of brains, and Elis should still be fighting the sniper giant.
