If betrayals in manga/animes had any weight behind them just like in real life betrayals where relationships are destroyed and unrepairable and contact ceases for life the majority of the time, then you would have manga's like this one ending quickly. So of course authors don't want to go down that road and includes betrayals like this one, for cheap drama. MCs like this one are suppose to be for self insert for readers, but who in the right mind would want to be someone who has no self respect and get used and shit on but still decides to crawl back to said person who did that. I guess your average japanese reader would becuase of this dump trope that always keep getting told in manga/anime/LN

I'm not gonna lie: I was lowkey lost this chapter. Maybe you I can attribute that to me being distracted by Kurena's nice as hell boobs. Either way I guess MC's father has unceremoniously arrived and we'll be greeted with some revelations next chapter.
