First of all, you seemingly don't understand how the science community works. Science isn't about opinion or public pressure, it's about recording observable reality. Two even when it WAS in the DSM-IV-TR, it wasn't listed under paraphilias or disorders. It was an "associated feature" of what was called Gender Identity Disorder at the time. As understanding of psychology progressed, so did the understanding of gender dysphoric people so it was appropriately updated to reflect that understanding. They didn't do it because "some people made a fuss".

Three? All of that doesn't even matter because what Minato is doing here isn't what wouldn't even be characterized as autogynephilia when it was in the DSM. Minato isn't imagining his body being literally female. The term you're looking for "Tranvestic fetishism", which is still in the DSM-V.

Personally, I'm curious if that even is the case here.
It IS a possible reading of it, but I don't think it's the only one.
Re-reading all the parts of the Spin-off until now, we have 3 ocassions where he got a boner (In one of them ending coming), and in they all I don't fully think he got it from the act of Crossdressing tself.
In 2 of them, he got it specifically when looking at himself on the mirror while undressed. In those specific cases, it could be him recognizing himself on the mirror as a girl rather than himself, through not being used to actually seeing himself like that. So what he sees is a girl undressing in front of himself. (And in one of them it was when having a pretty girl looking at him undressed, which would cause that in most straigth guys)
So rather than getting excited over the crossdressing, it is from seeing a cute girl undressing in front of him. One which he hasn't still come to grips with actually being him.
The 3º case was at bed, wearing his sister's sleepingwear. I think it's not news that women's clothes, especially sleepingwear, are a LOT softer and nicer to the touch. The combination of such soft and delicate touch encompassing his body, plus the feminine scent all around him, coould have been what caused him.
Uncomfortable erections at just how nice women's clothes can feel are something that happens (Because the good quality clothes are made for women, and men have to wear the leftovers XD)
Aside from those cases, he isn't seen getting erections at any other point, so I think there is some merit to this line of thought.

So, yeah, I wonder what exaclty is Minato's case here.
Is he getting the boners for the act of Crossdressing, or could it be something more?
