Despite some inconsistencies, I'm going to assume that the Prep Room is the "empty classroom" (technically both is and isn't what a Prep Room is anyways, plus Miyo's speech bubble conveniently blocks where the sign would be) mentioned during the cultural festival. So there'd still be a curtain and stuff to shield them from each other.

It makes more sense than anything else.

Depends on whether or not it takes place before Ch72, which is fairly likely. In that chapter Mahiro notes not having pissed himself for a while. No wonder Nekotoufu didn't cut away to show the end result this time. He succeeded for once in his life.
