Immortal Tatsu recently only reached 2 digit chapters, and another webmanga has over 30 chapters to 3 digit chapter.

The Japanese creators aren't going to be reading the comment section of a scanlation site. And even if they could, they probably wouldn't care because they're not being paid by us -- we aren't their audience, ultimately. We're just lucky enough to be able to enjoy their work second-hand and that they're not acting to stop us.

But I have to say, as a creator, few things would delight me more than upsetting or unsettling a sexually-immature macho bro. That is Goals with a capital "G" in my book. That's beating the last boss level triumph.

U do have a point but suddenly the increase in yaoi manga is not just because most of the female manga artists wanted to see some man on man action, it's also because people in japan are accepting these types of manga... Yaoi manga is getting profitable for the artist day by day just like isekai did 7 or 8 months ago.
So basically they're going for the money, fame and trend.
And if suddenly lesbian(idk what they are called in japanese) mangas got popular it'll be because of the trend and not because of the artist mood.

Can confirm. Gay male manga (or what we in the west call "yaoi") was present in large amounts even back in 2002 or so. In fact it used to outnumber yuri (lesbian) by almost a factor of four to eight times. In fact, gay male stuff is so big that it's even split into two different genres. One is BL, which is targeted at girls, and bara which is for gay men.

Gender bender has been around for just as long, too. It kind of dried up for a while in the mid-late 2000's, but it's back in force now that "Your Name" has proven the topic has interest and audiences hungry for it.

I love how when guys find authors who do genderbending, BL or whatever else offends their macho sensibilities they always accuse them of being greedy, calculating trend-chasers. Except I'm willing to bet a king's ransom that if it was an author they like being accused of the same they'd defend to the death their right to make money.

Why this contradiction? Because it's just an excuse, they don't actually believe it. It's a naked attempt at dehumanizing the focus of their anger, justifying them as a target. Because especially to who isn't part of the debate it will always sound more reasonable than "I just hate gays/trans people". And when others see through their BS and get pissed, they'll look like innocent victims and the ones who are pissed will look like the crazy "SJW" aggressors.
I've seen this pantomime play out a million times.

@PapaPewds MangaDex has literally existed for less than a year. MangaDex hasn't been showing you non-LGBTQ genres for the past 2-3 years because it hasn't been AROUND for the past 2-3 years. Other manga websites are designed in such a way that most often what you'll see on their front pages are whatever's hot right now, like Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece etc. and everything else you have to specifically look for in their search catalogue. So basically, the reason this stuff seems new to you is because you haven't been looking for it and now that this site exists, it just so happens to be organised in a way that you can see just how massive these genres are without just seeing some badly shopped Luffies and Sasukes everywhere.

So, yes, actually, you HAVE been living in an isolated world and for the past 2-3 years, not only have you only been shown what's most popular, which happens to mostly be action shounen, but you also have been seeing MangaDex showing you so much of "that gay shit" recently because MangaDex is geared for this and hasn't existed long enough to fall into your 2-3 year time span.

edit: Also, maybe if you're such a homophobe that you can't stand this stuff, you should probably not be throwing a homophobic tantrum on a manga with a large queer audience.

I know how long this site is here for so don't treat me like a fuckng noob I'm also reading from this site for 7-8 months so i also know what this site upload and all

First of all sorry for calling yaoi and gender bender "GAY SHIT!" I did a wrong thing by being blunt.
And also as i said above that I'm reading from this mangadex for like past 7 or 8 months so obv. i know what they uploades or not, I'm not saying that they didn't uploaded yaoi or gender bender genre shit in the beginning actually they did! But they uploaded mostly like 2 or 3 mangas daily but for the past 1 month the number has increased to like 10 or 12 mangas a day. If u r straight guy and u see soo many yaoi and gender bender shit daily u def. be like "wtf is wrong with this site, does these type of shit is becoming more popular in japan lately?"
I just kinda angry with the manga artist who picked such dull stories and made these into mangas rather then actually adapting a good novel (which are 100s of them) into a manga. I'm sorry if i didn't answer properly but ur reply is soo long so i didn't red it completely just some main points and my reply is also becoming of the same length maybe longer? but whatever....

I think most straight people don't actually care about the frequency of uploads these genres get. In fact, quite a lot enjoy reading this and others. Because their hetero identity isn't offended because a manga site uploads BL, GL, and gender bend a lot.

lmao, I don't want to hear this coming from someone that doesn't know fujos mass produce yaoi, or that lesbian manga is called yuri. This site was made when Batoto died, and even now, we get ancient yaoi chapters uploaded to the front page every day. If you, who uploads, can't even understand that, you don't make a very good argument through example alone. Like I said, if you had enough exposure, you'd know these things. I don't even like yaoi manga; it's always a disappointment to be examining a new title and find something with that or shounen ai.

You make incorrect assumptions about the world and others, based on your own limited experiences, and throw them around as if they are absolute. You’ve already admitted you basically don’t think before you speak, and you’re not sorry. You don’t even have the attention span to read a “long reply”. You incorrectly assumed I liked “gay shit”, when I pretty much avoid yaoi and shounen ai tags without giving them a second thought.

What can you do properly? You’re not even worth a proper reply. I’m just here for the cute art, and nice slice of life story. There’s nothing “gay” about this story. The entire cast are physically female, but I wouldn’t expect you to have known that in the first place.
