The previous uploader even said it was meant as a kind of call to action for someone better to translate them.

The problem is that for each case like this where someone else actually makes a better translation, there are hundred others where scanlators just see it was already translated and decide to do something else. Most of the time, this ends backfiring and actually reducing the chances of it getting a better translation, even if the person did it in good faith.

I'm not going to criticize the person for wanting to see it translated, I get the feeling, I wish I could work on many other series that have been dropped. But at the same time, even if it's hard to find editors and translator willing to help, it shouldn't be hard to at least find someone to proofread it before publishing, so it's not unreasonable for people to have disliked the quality.

If you're at all curious why, errors like that happen because the MTL scanner reads the lowercase "tsu" used for emphasis as an uppercase "tsu", turning simple sounds/vocalizations into full words.

Was the word supponpon? I've seen mtl translate it to soft shelled turtle(suppon), lol.
