Like any ideology created and maintained by a power structure, there are voices who oppose it, but those voices are oppressed by power. We're starting to see the voices who were oppressed get a chance to speak out. Team Lilium just demonstrated in front of a very big crowd that the premise "women can only be healers" is obviously false. There are bound to be true believers who refuse to accept the reality in front of them, but many people go along with a dominant ideology if it's convenient. As soon as it's inconvenient they begin to question or speak their authentic thoughts.
It actually gives me a glimmer that this story has something to say after Tanya gets her revenge. I expect the next arc to introduce a lord or king who benefits from this universe's flavor of patriarchy.

Probably that it's that not everyone agreed with those misogynist ideals and where just playing along to not piss of the law enforcers.

Now a public representation of those ideals is getting his ass beat so those who secretly hated the uber mysoginy can be more open about their disdain for it without punishment.

Say what you want about the goal of this story being humiliating him, seems like next chapter he will finally be fighting back and I'll be able to enjoy it properly.

As bad as he had been, he did not yet cross the threshold where I'd enjoy an humiliating one-sided curbstomp, unlike that guy from "A Warrior Exiled by the Hero and his Lover".
So this guy being beaten so clearly with no way of fighting back ends up giving me a weird feeling of... not sympathy but "that's enough already".

It is a similar feeling that I get from bashing fics, where people take the smallest issues of the character and expanded them until they are worthy of torture. But all on the perception of the original work, or a "show don't tell" that is more of an excuse, nothing in the story itself that makes it so heinous.

But NOW that he started fighting back, things may change.
