Man, I always imagined Lecan to have a full beard so seeing him like this is a bit of a disappointment. I wonder if this is how the novel author imagined him or if it's just the mangaka's editor saying 'no' to a bearded mc.
Which in turn makes me wonder why almost all Japanese manga mcs are clean shaved. The only mcs with any facial hair I can think of off the top of my head would be Okabe from Steins;gate and the mc of "This village NPC can only be human"

Maybe it's cultural? Or maybe the editors think a bearded mc would be bad for sales? Or something else?

Still nice to see this story also had a manga though.
