I'm less than inch under 6 foot tall and flagellate daily in penance over my bones not having elongated enough in my growing years. School supplies can be quite dense, especially if it's full of textbooks or something metal inside (thinking about science/physics equipment). Honestly it's hard to understand what you're saying in the second paragraph (I don't think you're using flagellate correctly, or at least in a way I could find through looking for a definition) but yeah I'm honestly not too surprised if there's like 60-70lbs worth of school stuff in that box.
