I went and looked it up, Chapter 11, Page 48. The White Elf's sent a notice:
'Our kingdom of Elfind reserves all rights concerning the Sylvan River Basin, and we request a written pledge that Orcsen shall never again interfere or intervene.'

But the Silvan River Basin is half Orcsen territory. So Elfind told them to leave the basin, which explains why the diplomats were afraid they messed up.

There were commenters in that chapter who didn't understand why someone telling you that half your house didn't belong to you and you should just promise to leave it to them.

And even having that explained thought that wasn't a cause for war.

Maybe the sentence being split threw them off. It’s more like...

“That night, we’re not letting even a scream from those white elves”

Like the unfortunate white elf mook said this time. They think of themselves as “cultured”.
The elves messed up with the mail because they focus too much on trying to be witty. “the Sylvan River Basin” is more clean cut compared to “the Sylvan River Basin except...”.

They though they’re so smart and those uncultured pigs must be fuming in embarrassment because they can’t return equally witty reply. It’s like this is just a tea time word game.

The pigs answer their mail with hot lead though.

Honestly i feel like the slaughter here is dumb, especially since most those soldiers are trash, they could easily capture them and that would not only legitimise their invasion even more but also make it so that exponentially there's a higher chance of enemy surrender Rather than just killing all of them. I think the most consistent previous translations were "Enfanglia", it is distracting though.

I don't get why Elfind was so woefully underprepared for this considering they just finished making demands for territory. Was their plan to have no means to back up their demand? It's weird, does seem like there's another shoe to drop somewhere.
