Selfless Virtue rewarding him for being virtuous is kind of the antithesis of "selfless." Integrity might have been a better name for the skill.
In a way, you could say he got the skill only because he had demonstrated selfless virtue in the first place. He had proven that he was the type of person who could be selfless, so he's deserving of that skill.

It's not really selfless if you are getting paid every time you do it. I guess it will depend on his mentality while helping others. Will he see someone in distress and think "I need to help them because it will make them happy and therefore grant me SP" or will he think "I need to help them, because it's my obligation as someone with power to help people" and take the SP later as a bonus.

The story set up is really lazy, but the writing seems decent so far so I'll keep reading

At the end of the day even if you're doing it for a selfish reason a good deed is still a good dead, saving someone's life for your own benefit still means you saved someone's life. Like in mha where the heroes are doing it for money and fame, ultimately they're still saving and protecting people. Obviously if you're end goal is to take over the world or some shit then that vastly outweighs your good deeds, but if it's a mildly selfish reason then I don't see a problem with that

I wonder why in all mangas that have this I got kicked out of family because I got [insert trash sounding name ability that is actually super OP] plot, the family is made of Sword Saints... can't we get some Spear Saint, Archmage, Divine Priest, Deadly Assassin, Archer Saint etc?

I think his "Noblesse Oblige" will trump any kind of calculations since he talks about it every time, like ok dude, we get it... so I think it'll be the latter where he thinks SP will just be a bonus to help him acquire more skills that can help more people.
The result is exponential so I think it'll be an interesting series.

So, he took the slave contract off of her which is rad, but why does she still have the collar and manacles on even after the costume change? Don't like that.

Anyway, neat story, even if the set up is a bit clichéd. I like the main character's awkward stubbornness in trying to act with honor, to the point that people have to ignore and steamroll over him to in order to show him their gratitude.

I am really into this series. it isn't doing anything new, but it's doing it well.
