I'm reading too much into it probably but that is likely why her dad didn't allow him to accompany them on their family trip. Maybe he was trying to put distance between them so they don't develop any further.
The other possibility is that her parents are definitely trying to set them up which is why they keep them together.
I don't think the butler loves the lady as a woman. You don't blurt out being confessed by others to someone you like/love romantically.
I think the butler is the one who thought himself is the biggest hurdle of the lady getting the lover she deserves. FMC affection to him was assumed as she being pitiful to him while in reality it's the FMC who can't grow up without him.
The last outing without him is probably the way her parents assessing the lady, to see if her needy behavior is salvageable. Do note everyone in the mansion knew how demanding she is to the butler, and they couldn't do anything.
Besides the usual trope between butler and lady, I would like to see the butler actually fall in love with another woman, regardless of status or temperament. Falling in love is just that weird, and would spice things up for the butler to learn emotions

Probably the fmc parents' fault. It almost always their fault the butler mc doesn't act in these stories.
Unrelated, the FMC in these stories should just order her faithful butler to take her to pound town instead of trying to catch-22 the poor guy into improper job conduct.

Pls don't be a generic romcom harem. I want a romcom focusing on these two but knowing Japanese authors these days they will add 2 or 3 more ojousamas along the way to get Eito attention and turn it another harem romcom. I don't mind harem romcom but with good characters and decent plot it can be good but lately it's just the same thing all over again with hundreds of the same plotline.

This feels like a series that would make a great like 50-75 chapter read, but probably drag on and on for like 150-200 and I'll probably lose interest by chapter 80.
" comedy...Yeah, and more importantly. He has his current life right now is because of her family. If it weren't for them, he probably would just live in an orphanage or something.

Like others said, unless there is indeed a translation error in the last section, what he said sounds straight up ominous. It needs clarification.
It's more likely closer to "due to my presence others can't approach you so you are missing out on genuine love" kind of thing which might be true in this case since they were very close since childhood and i don't think she ever had any interactions with any other boys and dude knows this.

I’m wagering that in 15 chapters he gets some flutter or admission of affection for her but he gives the “she’s my lady so I can’t blah blah blah” response.
