The idea of a reincarnator controlling/running a city behind the scenes through his cheat powers while having other people be the public face of the government/oversight is cool. But then they had to ruin it with the rapey mind control stuff that makes him into a scumbag while also not acknowledging how scummy that behavior is. He basically comes off like the male equivalent of all those characters in villainess manga who end up reincarnated into the heroine and decide that because it's just like a game they have license to do whatever they want with no consequence. Except those characters are meant to fill the "real" villain role for the story whereas this guy is supposed to be our relatable protagonist who the audience identifies with

I might give this a couple more chapters to see if it actually comes to its senses, but my impression is that it absolutely won't and instead will double down on how awful the MC is while still playing him up like an interesting self-insert character.
