@Raizel1 The thing is, RE:zero succed it because not only is Subaru smart enough (he is normal to the point of having smart/inteligent moments, but dumb ones as well, I can't fault him too much because of the sheer emotional trauma a "wrong decision" get's him in that series), If you have a protagonist that is smart enough in this kind of situation, you counterbalance this by making the setting unpredictable at first.

I thought the mc would somewhat change after the 1st chapter but he's just as retarded. Why df is he breaking into her home when he already know the strategy, everything is so contradicting. Why is he freaking out when he have a year, thats even enough to build a relationship. He also kept questioning the meaning of assault, when it's pretty fucking obvious since the time literally tells you what you need. The only mystery to this manga is how low of a braincell the mc have.
