The manuscript being his family is genuinely creepy, but it doesn't really land well for me because Yamase doesn't look willing to discuss with Kojika about their past. Yes in the first chapter he excused himself in a panic, and she laughed it off, and we as readers know that he wants to "user" her to finally get a good publishing deal. But before anything overly creepy happens, I think there should be some kind of attempt (failed, or not) at diplomacy, to establish a dynamic that goes beyond just what's been going on in this chapter, which is mostly just a play at making light humour out of the odd borderline creepy situations.

This could be actually be an amazing plot, but there is no way in hell this is going that way from the looks of it.

The author keeps trying to make everything feel tense all the time, but it ends up feeling dumb and tired instead.
It also doesn't help when the MC is so fucking dull.

I wonder if it's going to turn out to be crazy stabbing like you think of the mangaka is going to pull out some sort of subversion where like we find out her parents did something egregiously horrific to her and because she's a psycho she's trying to supplant her awful real family with an idealized version of herself in the male MC's family through a romcom manga or something.

The cue male MC - rightfully - assuming she's crazy and threatening and instead of romcom misunderstandings for the next 140 chapters we have (attempted) murderer/stalker misunderstandings.

Although I'm leaning more towards her being legitimately axe crazy/killer yandere and being a real danger at this point. Time will tell, I suppose.
