Actually more compelling of a setup than I expected.

Now the author has to decide if it's going wincest or simply "found (again) family", I guess.
Either way that boy Rokurou wins. The family couldn’t bother to hold their life together, while the boy they chased out managed to find stability & could give his sister more happiness in few hours than they could in 18 years

I still hate that her dad actually throw him out when he in critical moment of high school life ..totally not hurt if he waited few more months until he graduate or at least finish exam first

Not mention he been doing well as student

First memory that popped up once she nonchalany was like "oh, you know I'm your half sister right".
Kinda not surprised this happened at you 😂...because this actually very normal thing that people do for dropping important news

Once you've gone through with one divorce, the rest are easy. You're already a selfish bigot by that point who doesn't want to work for the relationship.
And the kids splitting up isn't an issue for any of them. Well it's been years with no contact with son and the daughter isn't going to school, not a good situation

I'm with everyone on blaming the shitty dad, but let's not leave the shitty mom out of this. She happily agreed to abandon the kid she adopted when she made one of her own, and she's going into her second divorce. Even if you want to pin the divorce on the husband both times it shows she knows how to pick em
Also for years she's had no contact with her adopted son, hasn't bothered with her own blood daughter truency, pretty big flops on both sides

I'm on the side of "hold off on judging the mother because we don't know enough about her yet". The father might just be garbage enough that she can't do enough to support the kids, and she may have not known why her son left (IMO it's plausible that her husband simply lied).
I'm on the side of they are both evil. She has had no contact with the son, she herself adopted for years, she's never came by to visit, even if she didn't know about dad 2 kicking him out, she never followed up, she was like that all his life, cast to the sidelines.

Looks like they treat their own blood daughter not much better, no 18 birthday, to busy with their own drama to care for a child and truency for more than a year and nothing is done. Plenty of signs there both are sh**

Everyone's blaming the mother, but who's to say she was in on her husband's bullshittery? Their fighting might even be because he chased the son off for all we know. It's too early to make any judgements about her.
The mom didn't bother to take a day off from work to take care of her adopted son who had the flu and a high fever. He was suffering alone without no one to care except for the little sis.

A good parent don't let their sick child unattended, instead they call their workplace to tell their boss about the situation and take the day off before calling a doctor. But this Mom didn't bother to do any of that, neither the father.

With this kind of neglect, I won't be surprised if the Mom was okay with the Dad's decision to chased him out.

I didn't learn my elder half sister was a half sister until I was 27. Because "I never asked".
Same. Didn't know my "sister" is adopted until we're early teenagers. Then we split because different picks of high school, college and career.
Dated a few people, none stuck around. quit my job because deteriorating health, reunited with my sister...then hilarity.

You see, because cultural and religious reasons, us cohabitating as adults is not socially acceptable. So my parents be like: how about you two just get married and inherit the house anyway.🤌
Me and sis: Dafuq 🤔
