I mean I get it, its got the romance tag, the constant reminder they're step-siblings, all signs point to them ending up together... but honestly I kinda fuck with the dynamic that he just wants to be a good older brother. Like that could carry the story in my opinion. I honestly would prefer that frankly.

Actually not really. These are mega sized chapters. It's already been 109 pages. That's about half a volume, maybe a bit more, or about five and a half chapters of a bimonthly publication or weekly publication, and about three and a third chapters of a monthly series.

I read both chapters today and I must say that this is one interesting setup. A perfect manga with message "not everyone is meant to have kids or be a parent".

Not only are his biological parents pieces of s**t, but his adoptive mother and stepfather as well. I mean, just look at the facts:
-adopts the kid with her then husband, then files for divorce.
-marries another men and has a biological daughter with him, then proceeds to totally ignore the kid she adopted as a son becasue she is trash.
-her new husband literally kicks the boy out of the house because he sees him as a "rival" to his new family. And mom agrees like the lowlife she is.
-dad and mom file for divorce and make their daughter miserable as well. Killing the entire point of kicking the boy out in the 1st place.

These people are so evil and incompetent as human beings it is shocking. Where are Asamura Taichi and Akkiko Ayase to show them how it is done? If you know these two then we can be friends.

Anyway, I am looking forward to future chapters where the kid becomes a man and protects the person that is dear to him from trash people like these two adults only in age people.

Being a teenager who had this bombshell dropped on him, he probably didn't want to cause a rift in the "real" family from which he was being removed. He wanted her to be happy and it's not really a good time to bring up the reason why he left until it becomes more relevant, partly because he does not yet know how she feels about either of her parents (or why they're arguing).

MC got adopted by Mom and Dad 1. They divorced.

Mom married Dad 2 (Evil Dad). Mom and Evil Dad had Yuuha. Evil Dad kicked MC's ass out of the house when he turned 18.

Mom and Evil Dad are getting a divorce, causing Yuuha's home life to suck, so she's skipping school and missed her own birthday.

So far we have no idea why MC's adoptive mother was such a piece of shit that she abandoned her adopted son.

But to summarize, MC's adopted mother is the biological mother of Yuuha.

As someone who likes incest stuff....yeah. their dynamic is actually eerily realistic unlike the usual "hair away from fucking" non blood siblings stories

I kinda hoped second chapter would give a reason(however stupid it would certainly be) but nope.

There's just nothing here. His motives are nonsensical, her motives are nonsensical, the way they reunited by online dating is nonsensical, thinking you only survived a flu because a kid threw wet towel at you is nonsensical and MMC's ~le noble~ attitude is fucking annoying.

If you just want to make a story about a slightly older guy who takes in a JK there are way simpler ways to do it

I didn't learn my elder half sister was a half sister until I was 27. Because "I never asked". Though in my case she considered me family so it was more like why even mention it. Only hint I ever got was when she mentioned how we have aunts that are not really aunts and how only she gets invited to one of them, back when we were like 7, and then never again as the ex family was cut off. That was likely around the time they explained it to her so it was her way of feeling it out with me. I was busy playing with a roly-poly so I guess she dropped it halfway since she didn't know how to explain it and I wasn't in serious mode with her. But it stick with me since the tone and speech pattern was weird. First memory that popped up once she nonchalany was like "oh, you know I'm your half sister right".
