@Xxjuggernaut because at first he didn't know it's not his fault. After talking to her he realized it's just a misunderstanding. The last conversation bit with " Seems like I've troubled you" simply meant to express light responsibility even though it's not actually his fault, I think it's very common to Asian culture moreover for Japanese which known for their culture which heavily emphasizing on taking responsibility on everything they involved with, whether it's intentional or not.
@Xxjuggernaut you're right, you don't have to agree with it, it's cultural difference between japanese/asian and other part of the world. I'm just explaining why he probably behaves that way is considered normal here to show you the other side of the perspective. Sometimes being Asian sucks lol.
