Manga has an official english release for those interested, and the light novels do to. Web Novel and light novel do start to deviate later from what I've read of both. Especially the Kurt subplot later in the Light Novels. Oh, and Elia's annoying ass isn't really in the WN. Gawds, I hate her so much.
I do want volume 7? to be different for the LN. Author ruined something that could have been good.

Spoiler: WN Arc Spoilers

A volume later has Liam's "daughter" (not biological) isekai'd later. The Web Novel had her only for 1 arc, even then she appeared very little. But had her sent back to Earth with gold coins to run away and live on her own at the end of it. I honestly would have liked her staying. Hopefully the Light Novel takes that approach.

I mean he was told that raising taxes is bad and he realised that he can take the women and they wouldn't even be against it, so all the evil desire was purged, cuz it's not evil then. Turns out it's not really that profitable to be evil.

The Kurt subplot addition to the LN made me drop the series entirely. Not sure what the author was thinking with that one.

eminence's entire thing is that shadow just wants to be as cool as possible in an incredibly chunny way, he also thirsts for money
he seeks a massive amount of power to achieve this then makes up a cool backstory to rp which turns out to be actually real and everyone then misunderstands him as a sort of incredibly powerful omniscient being

in this one the mc wants to be evil but has no clue how to do it and can't balance it with taking care of his territory so he just leaves it all to the ai and doesn't do much in that department
this would be more akin to The Story Of The Lord Of Wasteland Who Increased His Influence Through Misunderstandings in which the mc is very dumb but stuff works out for him one way or another in ridiculous ways
