I've binged upto this last chapter in the last 2.5 days. I want moaarrrr. Is the LN good? Should I start for the beginning or just continue from this arc. Which vol would this military academy arc be? How many more Vols does the LN have currently?

I was really annoyed at the start that the mc was so oblivious that he believed the evil spirit thing. I didn't have high hopes for this, but I'm glad I stuck with it. It's really funny that he ends up making his world a better place in the pursuit of villainy.

My honest thought about the anime now that it ended its airing...

Watching it after reading the manga (what has done so far anyway, I don't read the LN) felt a bit painful... Because I saw that for the anime to reach where the manga and/or LN are, it's going to take a LOOOOONG time, should they make new seasons with the plot having the pacing of season 1.

OMFG it went TOO FREAKING SLOW!

Maybe they did it on purpose just to make anime watchers go purchase either the LN, the manga or both. I dunno...

Yep. The pacing was skewed when compared to the manga, with about two episodes of pure filler - the whole “Lake of Wine and Forest of Meat” sequence with four junior maidroids was made up.

I genuinely enjoy waiting for this eries to have an english update. Though the story does cut corners, and some of the tropes are... cliche, this is Abt one of two sci-fi series I found myself constantly rereading without getting bored of the story. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for translating this series, and hope that you find as much pleasure reading this series as I do.

I wouldn't say it's slow AF, it's pretty interesting and detailed, although the anime did actually do some other things slightly better and more detailed, but messed up in MANY other areas, like making the big bad guy a dork that feeds on extremely mundane negativity...
The thing that IS slow though, is the update speed... I want MORE chapters!!!
It's been almost a year and only 4 new chapters?!?! WHAAAA!!!!

henlo here is my review. Of the whole thing s o far (ch 41.2)

It's a classic misunderstanding-based comedy thingy story. Don't we just love those

While NTR isn't always the focus of the manga, it somehow manages to frequently read as being written by someone who is jacking off to the thought of NTR. (it's a little tiring, both if you're not a fan of that or are a big fan of ntr. ntr lacroix)

it's mostly-kinda doing a baiting thing but for revenge porn instead of actual yaoi. speaking of porn

What little horny stuff it has sorta tapers off, if you're here for that. The whole manga is actually surprisingly light on ecchi, even. Again, probably because the main fetish here is revenge porn edging, not like. the idea of sex. the MC is largely post-sex. don't read this one with ya dick out girls, it'll get dry

mc's core personality trait is that he's traumatized from being cheated on by his wife. some folks complain about the BL gag going on for too long but how about some progress on that front, huh?

PROGRESSION is okay to have I guess. It's super fast paced to some ppl but I enjoy that there was a lot of basebuilding progress. It's what kept me going, but once it reached an inevitable school arc I had to start speed-reading over that since there was nothing to savor.

There's a few LoGH and a lot of Gundam references. The series doesn't do much that's interesting on its own, I think? On account of it being isekai slop yum yum waiter more of my favorite garbage please

There were a fair few parts that had good comedic timing. The power fantasy stuff is there if u want it but it's permeated with a vague toxicity that can't be good for your personality, as the reader.

I'm dropping it here since it's not really worth a re-read at any point BUT I could probably pick it back up just as easily since it doesn't contain anything worth remembering
