bro I was having a good laugh all chapter, I just knew the coward fleet commander would pull some advice that would help him and that in ANY other case wouldn't work except this time

Wtf are you talking about? Engaging at max range has been the meta for combat since humans learned to throw things

the max range normally works in superiority numbers, if not it's a war of attrition, that's why Liam style of close range works, because he uses his and his elites soldiers to obliterate big numbers, specially since at close range they can easily hurt each other.

even in this case normally max range wouldn't work and that was the bet of the fleet commander, but the other guy "helped" by the guide was preparing for close range so a ranged fight wasn't the best specially since the pincer attack was pulled. Adding that one of the preparations was also getting the nobles attacking him too, but got confronted by the frontier soldiers.

Next you'll tell me the 250 men at Rorke's drift should have charged out to meet the 4000 Zulus (and before you say anything about the British outranging them the Zulus had guns captured from the British and traded from the Dutch).

That's his gimmick. He gives mid advice and then it's somehow perfect. He's just incredibly lucky

ohh I know, the case with the samurai master was like that, but it's still super fun. Because with all the preparation that the Guide was making to doom Liam once again I was wondering what kind of BS will happen to make Liam change his strategy style.

bro what? are you comparing a spear vs guns battle (Zulu also had some rifles but mostly because they stole from their enemies and didn't were good at using them) with a friggin' space battle? my mention of ANY other case was for Liam, as we saw how he battle across the series. Also Rorke's drift also used the the environment, a battle in the vacuum of space hasn't shown any use of rocks to hide or something besides the empty space to just go at each other.
I mean I get your point, but I can only agree to disagree.

The fleet commander looked like "Uh, oh, I think, I might have fucked up!" to me in the last panel he was shown. :dogkek:

My impression was probably wrong, but alas...
