Thanks for the TL! It's always pretty magical seeing those chapter updates every day in the early days of a manga getting picked up. I don't think anyone will mind you starting to slow down, we're all used to 1-3 week waits / chapter. Don't burn out!

Regarding the chapter, wasn't a fan this time. I think the bookmark's sentimental value has been seriously overblown for what has existed for a mere 4 chapters. This relationship just haven't been brewing for long enough yet to put someone in such a panic over losing a gift. Of course, they're both angsty teens and it's sensible that they overthinking and get overly attached, but it just doesn't flow very well in my eyes.

The other problem is that the MC's stance on FMC isn't very clear and I don't think its intentional. In an effort to not resolve the entire 'drama' of 'will they wont they' too early, MC only talks about FMC in this 'precious friend' sort of way when he talks to her at the restaurant and outside of this, he doesn't internally really think about her in the romantic sense. So it's very easy for the reader to conclude that actually he doesn't have any romantic feelings for her yet. But then he says he doesn't want to jump to any conclusions because this could ruin their friendship. Well, that sentence can only imply that jumping to conclusions means he would confess and is worried about her not reciprocating. But that doesn't line up with the previous lines. That page 10 just really feels off to me. Like the first two panels imply he sees her as a friend, but the 3rd one that he sees her as a romantic interest. Actually maybe this is something to ask you, TL, how did the tone feel to you in page 10? Have you also noticed that there is a strange lack of romantic interest/subtext in MC's language? This stuff can get very hard to translate with how finicky the JP language is.

I also just realized that this manga will have severe trouble staying interesting for long unless the author has some crazy plan, because the only gimmick of this work is the entire 'MC talks to FMC about FMC without knowing he's talking to FMC'. This just can't possibly be stretched for that long without it turning ridiculous, but then how else does the manga differentiate itself? Since everything else about it has been extremely cookie-cutter.

weird enough I gave the gals the benefit of the doubt, it doesn't sound like they stole the book and more like they found it and didn't gave a crap so they left it in a place where other people could find it. MC doesn't need to go killer on them.

Last chapter made it abundantly clear that he rejected the idea she might have feelings for him after watching her deal with literally every other guy who professed interest in her, but this was after recognizing his own feelings beginning to develop past the just-friends stage. As he himself states out loud, he has never been in this sort of situation before and he's struggling with it. He doesn't want to jump the gun, but he also doesn't want to be too reserved. It's tricky and can easily look like he's confused when he's just trying to decide how to proceed in this early stage of romantic feelings.
