At earlier points than this in the LN, he's already noticed how sometimes he perceives their figures as overlapping when one says or does something just like the other and has also noticed the coincidence of their given names, but has more or less dismissed it as just his delusions due to getting to know his first two female friends at basically the same time.

She also initially was in disbelief even after she got his full name at school (when she already knew it at work), don't forget. It has to seem incredibly convenient.
