Where axioms are never complete, non-contradictory and enumerable at the same time. Just as history, which never satisfies the first criterion. And yes, "cause and effect" is based on formal logic just like math and physics. And based strictly rather than loosely as you imagine, being the whole reason for Laplace's demon thought experiment (which is impossible in quantum physics even as a thought experiment thanks to effects of measurement, but you get my point).
